Read the formula

Four experimental geometry components. Each is clamped to 0–1; these references are product choices, not population percentiles.

We do not measure objective beauty, skin quality, age, color season or anatomical hairline thirds. Contour angles are not bone angles. Photo perspective and model error affect measurements.

Read the formula

The jawline rating combines three 2D readings: jaw width against cheekbone width, the jaw's lower contour against face height, and the visible jaw angle. Each is clamped to 0–1; the references are product settings, not clinical or aesthetic norms.

This is a frontal measurement. We do not measure bone, masseter muscle, body fat, bite or side-profile projection — a phone camera cannot see those. Photo perspective, head angle and expression all affect the readings.

Your result

Your jawline rating is a position on a measured scale, not a verdict on your face. Nothing here is medical advice, and it is not a treatment recommendation.

The three readings behind your rating

What we measureYour valueReferenceDirection
Jaw width vs cheekbone width—varies by shape referencenarrower jaw ← → wider jaw
Jaw contour vs face height—varies by shape referenceshorter lower face ← → longer lower face
Visible jaw angle—varies by shape referencesofter angle ← → more defined angle

The reference positions above are our product settings, chosen to produce a consistent rating. They are not a classification standard, and other tools will draw the boundaries differently.

The angle reading is a 2D contour angle in the photo, not a bone angle. A tilt of the head changes it.

What moves the rating

The rating comes from geometry in one photo. Five things change it without your face changing at all:

Head pitch. Chin down shortens the visible lower contour; chin up lengthens it and flattens the angle.

Head roll and rotation. A slightly turned head makes one side read wider and flattens the measured angle on the other.

Lens distance. A phone held close widens the centre of the face and narrows the jaw; step back and the same jaw measures wider and more defined.

Expression. A clenched or wide smile changes the visible angle; a relaxed jaw measures differently again.

Lighting. Hard side light draws a shadow along the jaw and can change where the contour line is detected.

This is why we show the three readings and not just the number. Same jaw, different photo, different rating.

What this rating doesn't tell you

It describes visible proportions in one photo. It is not bone structure, muscle size, body composition or health, and it does not predict how you would look after any change — we cannot measure that, and we do not claim to.

We do not rate attractiveness on this page, and no jawline is better or worse than another. If you want the full picture, the sample report shows how the jaw readings sit alongside symmetry, thirds, fifths and the contour ratio. Reports are not open yet — see a sample report →.

Frequently asked questions

How is the jawline rating calculated?

Three readings across 478 landmarks: jaw width against cheekbone width, jaw contour against face height, and the visible jaw angle. They are combined into one 0–100 position, computed in your browser from one photo.

Does the rating change between photos?

Yes. Head pitch, rotation, lens distance, expression and lighting all move the readings. Compare results taken under similar conditions and with the same algorithm version.

Does it measure bone or muscle?

No. It measures a 2D contour from a frontal photo. It cannot see bone, muscle, body fat or bite, and it does not claim to.

Is it the same for men and women?

Yes. The measurement is geometric and identical for both — the same readings and the same scale. We do not use a gender model, because the geometry does not have one.

Is this jawline analyzer free?

Yes. The rating, the three readings and the closest edge-case notes are free, with no account and no usage limit. Paid reports and PDF delivery are not available yet.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The scan runs in your browser from 478 landmarks, and the photo never leaves your device. Nothing is stored on our servers.

Keep measuring

A jawline rating is one set of readings. The rest of the face comes from the same 478 landmarks, and each one is free:

  • Face Shape Detector → — The three ratios that decide one of seven shape labels. Your jaw-to-cheekbone ratio is one of them.

A single photo measures all of them. The sample report shows how they read together.
